Overview
At Chestnut Hill Windows all of our work is centered on a fairly simple premise - preservation is the most sustainable form of carpentry.  Your "old" windows have served your home well for 50, 75 and probably 100+ years.  There is no reason to believe they won't last twice that long... Replacement windows are fine for what they are, but they cannot match your existing window sashes for quality or in appearance.

With our standard service we take your windows (including French doors) and strip off all the old (lead) paint, then replace your single pane glass with an energy efficient insulated glass panel.  While your sashes are in our shop - we fix up any damage, prime them and then protect them with two coats of high quality paint.  We tuck in state-of-the-art weathseals, especially designed to retrofit older windows.  While we are at it, we pack insulation into the voids around your window frame and we get the hardware functioning again.  We return your windows to you so they are literally better than new.
